Novel highlights how unity can still be achieved in diversity
J. Scot Witty announces the release of ‘Of Whom Fortune Favors’

ITHACA, N.Y. – Published author J. Scot Witty returns to the literary scene with the release of “Of Whom Fortune Favors: Hibernia Chronicles: Book Two” ( published by Xlibris ). Following the first book titled “The Knight of Hibernia,” the latest release is a race against time for five people who have nothing in common to solve a mystery that could destroy their way of life forever.
Readers with follow Dar and Fayette who team up with unlikely allies, Clebis DeGalis, Toran and Ballenger,
Caledonian soldiers, to discover who has been attacking the island and to avert war between the kingdoms. Like the first book, this story is about the relationships these unexpected friends share. With everything else going on, Fayette discovers a secret about herself that may lead to the discovery of who her parents are.
With the book dealing mostly with the relationships of the characters and how they relate to each other, Witty hopes to effectively show how unity can still be achieved in diversity. “As much as we would like to think we are a melting pot of cultures, we have become quite galvanized in the question of us vs them. This book shows how members of very different cultures could not only work together but may relate to each other in profound ways,” Witty shares.
Through the book, Witty wishes to raise awareness, pursuing young readers, to take into serious consideration, have an open mind, and expand their interest on what they see in the news about divergent cultures and traditions.
