Fantasy book inspires readers to follow their dreams
Up-and-coming author J. Scot Witty debuts with ‘The Knight of Hibernia’

ITHACA, N.Y. – Over the course of his life, J. Scot Witty has written novels and many others that were inspired by the many adventures that filled his own life. After the long work, he is thrilled to finally see his writings in print with the release of “The Knight of Hibernia” (published by Xlibris). Witty’s first published novel is an adventure story that brings fantasy together with reality to inspire one the value of following their dreams.
“The Knight of Hibernia” tells the story of Dar LaCross, a boy from Cornwall who wants to give his life meaning by joining the Knights of Hibernia and leaves his home to travel there. Once there, he meets a young woman named Fayette who needs his help to travel home, across the island, to warn the castle of an impending invasion. Risking life and limb, they must reach the city before it is too late.
“My book shows young adults that if they are honorable and are willing to stand for your beliefs, one person can make a difference,” says Witty. “We need more of that in today's society.” The book serves as a reminder, especially to young readers, to realize that they are not helpless victims of the world handed to them. If they have the courage, they can change their life and the world around them for a better tomorrow.
